Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) Instructor Course
The TECC Instructor Course prepares instructor candidates to confidently and effectively teach Tactical Emergency Casualty Care in public safety, tactical, and high-threat environments. This course focuses on both TECC content and the best practices for teaching it, ensuring graduates are not only knowledgeable, but effective educators.
Grounded in adult learning theory and modern instructional design, the course emphasizes practical teaching strategies, clear communication, and hands-on skills instruction. Instructor candidates learn how to translate TECC guidelines into engaging, real-world training that students can apply under stress.
This course follows the guidelines established by the Committee for Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (C-TECC). Trilogy Emergency Medical Solutions is an approved C-TECC Educational Partner, ensuring that all instruction is consistent with nationally recognized TECC standards and current best practices.
Hybrid Course Format
This course is delivered in a hybrid format:

Online Academics:
Instructor candidates complete the academic portion of the course online at their own pace. This phase covers TECC principles, instructional methodology, and teaching best practices. -
In-Person Instructor Development (2 Days – Mandatory):
The in-person session focuses on instructor development and teaching skills. Candidates participate in hands-on labs, teaching practicums, and scenario-based instruction while receiving direct feedback from experienced instructors.
Both components are required for successful course completion.
