The Diving Medical Responder (DMR) Course is a comprehensive training program designed for divers and professionals who need to recognize, assess, and manage diving-related medical emergencies in the field.
This hybrid course includes online self-paced coursework followed by two days of hands-on, scenario-based training. The DMR certification is ideal for anyone involved in scuba operations who wants to be prepared for real-world dive emergencies.

What You’ll Learn:
- Recognition and response to decompression illness (DCI)

- Recognition and response to barotrauma.
- Performing field neurological exams

- Emergency procedures and evacuation planning
- Field management of diving-related medical incidents

- Online academic modules completed prior to in-person training
- In-person skills training on November 7-9, 2025

DAN IQC Add On: For Dive Masters, Instructors, and Medical Professionals become a DAN Instructor and teach CPR/First Aid, Oxygen Provider, and DFA Pro. Add on for the DAN IQC is only $500. Students are required to be DAN Members. DAN Membership not included in course pricing. There is also $125 DAN Certification fees that are not included in course pricing.
Bonus for EMS Professionals:
Paramedics and EMTs will receive 40 hours of continuing education credit for this course.
